
DeltaArts 2009-2010 Family Arts Series
Experience quality, educational and enlightening arts performances with DeltaArts Family Arts Series. All performances are held at the West Memphis Civic Auditorium at 7:00pm and admission is only $10 per family. Before each event, an artist will lead the audience in a warm-up activity focusing on high-lights of the performance. Tickets are available at the door. Nut Remix takes a detour from tradition, fusing ballet, Hip Hop, Flamenco and urban dance styles with the classical score of Tchaikovsky. Audiences will experience classical ballet of The Sugar Plum juxtaposed with the raw energy of urban dance that has come to be associated with New Ballet. |

This tour show is a 45 minute reduction of Engelbert Humperdinck’s interpretation of the Grimm’s fairy tale, Hansel and Gretel. Hansel and Gretel are sent out to gather food. While on their adventures in the mysterious and magical forest, they learn of the importance of teamwork and they realize that things are not always as they first appear. This show will include student involvement with an ensemble of 15-20 students from the audience. |
